Oi vey, she's still better than 99 percent of what's out there. More's the pity. Yeah, I know I say that a lot. Almost as much as people say "I hate Avril." Really, people, there are those out there far more worthy of your ire. Some of them even work in the White House. (Not Bush, though. He doesn't work there, or anywhere else.)

Well while I'm still in high school and getting an education which I'd like to complete rather than drop out, I'm going to spend the days in which I am bored out of my mind writing parodies that myself and some other people find humourous. Avril may try and be different but she's not a real punk. Punk died out in the 80s. Try listening to the Ramones or Sex Pistols to hear real punk. I honestly don't mind her music, I just think she and her music are being labeled as something so blatantly not what she claims she/it is. She wears skaterpunk clothes and acts like one while she sells music that is not anything like what she claims to be. "Sk8er Boi" is the only remotely pop-punk song on the album. She appeals to the younger generation because it's something so much more different and rebellious than Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. I think there is reasoning behind her millions of dollars. So by all means, go ahead and like her, I know many people that do, but at least take the time to consider things from someone else's point of view.

In the defense of Avril: there are plenty of better people to hate. Avril doesnt claim to be "PUNK" per se. avril is just a really cool person, at least in my opinion. ah well, to each their own. PS: The Sex Pistols are the band that ruined punk. they are the reason punks are feared and hated to this day. The Ramones are the best 4-5-6-7 ALL GOOD CRETINS GO TO HEAVEN!
Punks aren't feared where I live, they are praised and are the epitome of popularity. I've actually gotten accustomed to several of Avril's songs but I still hate her and shall continue to write (in my opinion) humourous parodies about her to share with others who agree with my views of her. But thanks, Chris, for not being rude to me like Cerise and Thomas were.
- The parody was great... keep up the good work - No, Avril is not the worst - I hate Avril, but not because of her music or even her Punk image when she isn't Punk... its because she came onto this talk show (here in Australia, there's one called "Rove Live" which is one of the most popular shows here) and she did 2 things. 1) She gave an interview in which she was rude, incoherent, stupid and stoned. 2) She sung live at the end of the show (I'm With You) and it was completely off key... I mean SERIOUSLY... it was awful... a lot of people who liked Avril immediately began thinking "She's pretty crappy" after they saw that.

Not too shabby. When I first heard that other song by that chick, ( i'm not too sure what it was called) i wrote my own parody, it was a long time ago, but it was pretty coo too. I don't want people to write constantly back to me about just how wrong I am, but I personally dislike Avril. Not because of her type of music, I don't listen to it, but I don't care that she makes it, but I don't like that she claims it's punk. Oh well she can do what she wants I guess. Cool parady though
