Young lady, if you truly love Avril, then your post did her a great disservice. There are two types of parodies: Songs we honor and those we make fun of. My favorite performer of all time is Billy Joel, and I've taken about 20 of his songs and turned them into parodies, some of them on this board, some on subjects too old to post here. (I have no idea if Billy likes Avril's music, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did.) I, too, like "Sk8er Boi" and have turned it into a parody: George W. Bush as "Failure Boy." (And no, I will not apologize for it, not to Bush fans or Lavigne fans!) You wanna pay tribute to her, fine. Better her than the girl with the plastic bubbles (Spears). But if you're gonna post on this site, at least stay true to its spirit, and try to either make people laugh or fume (or, in the case of lebeiw15, roll their eyes -- great comment, by the way). As Avril herself might say, it's not complicated.
