The Lyrics

Lol. I don't really hate Avril Lavigne; I just thought this was more informative than "Arvil Laveeng iz a pozer."
He was a boy
She was a girl
Can i make it any juvenile?

He was a punk
She said she was
(Her head held grey fuzz)

She wanted him
He'd always tell
He wanted Avril to burn in hell
But all of his friends
Fell for the girl
They didn't know her head used to have curls!

She was a poser girl
He said see ya later girl
She wasn't real enough for him
She had a pretty face
But her head was out of place
It had always been loose since her birth

5 years from now
He sits at home
He turns on TV
Guess who he sees
Poser girl rockin up Nick TV
He calls up his friends
They already know
And they've all got tickets to egg her show
He tags along
Stands in the crowd
Throws up at the chick that he turned down

She was a poser girl
He said see ya later girl
She wasn't real enough for him
Now she's a stupid star
Smashing up her guitar
His disgusted face sees what she's worth

She was a poser girl
He said see ya later girl
She wasn't real enough for him
Now she's a stupid star
Smashing up her guitar
His disgusted face sees what she's worth...

(Girl starts singing)

Sorry girl but you missed out
Well tough luck that boy's mine now
We are more than just good friends
This is how the story ends
Too bad that you couldn't see,
See that real is the way to be
There is more that meets the eye
I see your soul that is inside

He's just a boy
And I'm just a girl
Can I make it any more juvenile?
We hate your guts
Haven't you heard
How your true self has been unfurled

I hate the poser girl
He said see you later girl
I'll sneak backstage after the show
I'll trash up the studio
Singing the song we wrote
About a girl we truly know

I hate the poser girl
He said see you later girl
I'll sneak backstage after the show
I'll trash up the studio
Singing the song we wrote
About a girl we truly knowwwww

Throw another Sk8er Boi parody into the pile...

*yawns* Aren't the Sk8er Boi parodies past the 150 mark by now? Apparently that's not high enough of a number to halt bored teenagers' antics...(okay, okay, I'm a teenager.)

Haha... yeah, it's getting to the point where you're not a *serious* parodist here if you haven't done one :-P. So, to that end, I'm trying to work out one myself, but it's not working that well.

Spazn - Well, at the risk of being the subject of scorn and ridicule from some folks who can't even spell them I must admit that I happen to like Avril Lavigne's debut album, although "Sk8tr Boi" is my LEAST favorite on it. That doesn't leave me "home free" as far as being a "Scorn & Ridicule" target, because I'm 53 years old; I could assure you that I'm really not THAT dirty of an old man, but I'm not sure that's true. But, no, I don't lust after the eventually-to-be-adult Avril, although I find her punk-poser persona far preferable to "pop tarts" Christina & Brittney. Hey, ya gotta appear to be SOMEBODY and I'm not too sure she really knows who that is yet. She may be "trying on" personalities at this point. Not the only teen-ager ever to do that I'd have to say...OH...YOUR work. Very fine job here and much more clever and original than most of the other "Avril" parodies. Pace wasn't quite perfect but it was very good and Lavigne's phrasing is quirky enough to allow some leeway in how words are read and sung. I gave this Straight "fives" across. One more "OH"...I liked your "pre-parody" comment. Short and to the point (not usually my own "modus operandi") and said enough to show signs of intelligent life upstairs in your attic. Keep writing and posting. If it's current stuff I may not know the songs but there are plenty of folks on the site that do.
