Lament of a young Luftwaffe pilot transitioning from Bf 109G over to the new Me-262 jet fighter in 1944. Although not stated in the lyrics there is implied hope yet in the Wunderwaffen in the pipeline and faith in the Fuhrer to deliver victory... even in the 11th hour (which was true until May 1st).
