This is to tell everyone that my brother Robert Arndt died on August 13, 2018. I guess he left the playground. Robert enjoyed this site until his death with the exception of Claudia Perez (Disgruntled mailman) and Johnny Nagoyan (plagerizing parodist). He was German and all his posts were real. He died in the hospital at the age of 54.

^ holy bladders! that's rough! I'd like to offer my condolences, I am truly sorry for your loss! I myself have lost a great friend here at amiright, Rob would often suggest parody titles for me to work with and we had even collaborated on parodies, a couple of times. his presence will be sorely missed at this site and while I have this feeling of loss at the news, I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel... once again, I truly am sorry for your loss. God Bless you and yours and know that Rob is watching you from Heaven, right now!

Wow. This is very disheartening news. He was a very intelligent person and would comment on various parodies of mine with positive remarks and thus I looked upon him with respect as a fellow writer/ Amirighter and friend. We shared a lot of common interests including Star Wars and Comic Books. I feel really sorry for the Arndt family and their loss. He knew a lot about history, weaponry and a multitude of other topics. Sad day indeed.

I knew something was very, very wrong once he went completely absent from the website for more than two weeks. This website was everything to him!! Rob was very supportive of me and we did share a wealth of knowledge about WWII, altho' Rob's knowledge and command of details was off the charts

I recall the only other time Rob had an extended absence from the site (one week) When he came back, he was very downhearted and revealed he had very serious health issues, and that he only expected to live five to ten more years. So this is less of a shock to me than it might be others, but still it's sad when someone dies before his allotted time ..... As for Rob's beef with Johnny Nguyen, that would explain one of the strangest events in Amiright history -- How some kid came out of nowhere, posted over 500 parodies only to see his name disappear completely from the Amiright archives

This is a shock. Rob was a polymath who excelled in history and prodigious parody production. At times he and I would riff on each other's parodies and see where the journey took us. I hardly ever look at the site anymore but got a message today on the parody writers FB page. amiright has lost an incredible talent.

My condolences to Rob's family, friends and fellow parody authors. He also left a comment or two on one of my parodies (e.g. the Kermit one about internet connection issues) and I dare say that he is quite the knowledgeable man that he was.
