As the sample is used standalone (i.e. without any other lyrics for context) in the Layo & Bushwacka track "Love Story" (and the excellent remix/mash-up of Love Story with Finally feat. Kings of Convenience which has a lot more lyrics), I think it actually sounds just fine to make it into a song about bread.
