or
The heart of rock and roll is defeated
Original Lyrics:
The heart of rock and roll is still beatin'
This is not misheard, this is what they actually sang in a version recorded in Cleveland. All the Northeast Ohio radio stations play this version of the song. There seems to be several versions of this song doctored like this, there's another with Toronto and Montreal at the end as well.
