He must have been thinking more about the line 'Get your coat, don't forget your hat' in Dorothy Fields' 'On the Sunny Side of the Street' than about mustering a suitable rhyme here. Oh, well, the central character was under the influence of marijuana throughout the song ('I ain't making no excuses/For the many things I uses')...

Released on Columbia 4-45450 in 1971 as a 45 in the U.S. It's the "B" side of "A Front Row Seat To Hear Ole Johnny Sing" It should have been called "28 Second Song" to match its actual length!
