Band Name Origins:
- The name derives from "Scritti Politici", which is Italian for "Political Writing". Simple as that. Submitted by: Heathcliff the Cat
- The lead singer, Green Gartside is deep into philosophy and came across "scritti poligotti," political writings in Italian. He liked the sound of it, but changed it to Scritti Politti to sound more like "Tutti Fruitti." Submitted by: Carmen Elliott
