Recorded in 1985 for the 'Protest Songs' album (which was then put in storage until '89 because it didn't seem a punchy enough follow-up to their breakthrough 'Steve McQueen' aka 'Two Wheels Good') this is one of the first pop songs about Diana. princess of Wales. Paddy seems to be after the media hype around Lady Di here. The final verse quoted almost presages the break-up of the marriage.
