Band Name Origins:
- Thought their original name (Burn the Priest) was too immature, and that a change was in need. So they chose Lamb of God, a name with religious connotation, yet not so "evil" sounding. Submitted by: Josh
- Formerly known as Burn The Priest but didn't want to be pidgeon holed as a crap Satanic band, so changed it to the equally religious sounding yet not as offensive to some as the former name. Submitted by: Paul
Why the Name is Stupid:
- They name themselves after the Son of Christ, yet they are against Christ. Does this make sense to you? Submitted by: Travis
- As if it isn't bad enough that they're egotistical enough to name themselves after Christ, they also happen to be a DEATH METAL band, so you know they have no use for religion whatsoever (except to poke fun at it.)
