Story about this misheard lyric by: Chris Prince I got Funeral Oration's Double disc discography a week before I left to tour with a band in January of 2000. I never got a chance to look at the track listing for the cd, instead just put it in a cd wallet to listen to on tour. The 4th track on the first disc is 'Truly Intensive' and of course, I didn't know what the song was called. Funeral Oration is from Holland, so the lead singer sings with a rather thick accent. I thought he was saying 'Who needs the fans of Marilyn Manson' when in actuality he was saying 'Truly Intensive, Madly Immensive.' It seemed to make sense that he wouldn't 'need the fans of Marilyn Manson', because he's the lead singer for a Dutch punk rock group. God, I'm a moron. |
