In most parts of Latin America Kermit, the frog is called "Rana René". Though it is a popular character, I found it was weird that it was part of this Caroline's lyric. I finally understood that the stretched word was "running" but for my Argentinean ears, the "ing" sounded nearer to an "e" than to an "i" (Spanish phonetics). Even though I know the "true" word is "running" I still listen to "Rana René" every time I hear the song. Or maybe what I hear is something in between these two words, a strange displacement between words, meaning, and sounds "Running René?".
