"Coursera"

Parody Written by:

Bob from Dayton

The Lyrics

Sing, (Start in to sing, you’ll have to swing,)
Then, you’ll swing, (Start in to sing, you’ll have to swing,)
Those courses are bound to get you,

Oh, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet,)
Don’t go slow, (Turn on the heat, then beat your feet,)
Those courses are bound to get you,

Courses, courses, courses, courses, courses...mmm...

(female vocal)

Coursera,
Start in to sing, then soon, you’ll be swinging,
Coursera,
Turn on the heat, your feet will keep beating,

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (dee-de-oh!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

Coursera,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
Coursera,
Get on your toes, ‘cause everyone knows that

If you’re not a dunce,
Oh, you’ll catch on at once,
Well, learn the things for a fee,
Take that Coursera!

(vocal trio)

Coursera,
Start in to sing, then soon, you’ll be swinging,
Coursera,
Turn on the heat, your feet will keep beating,

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

Coursera,
Once you begin, you have to give in to
Coursera,
Get on your toes, ‘cause everyone knows that

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Learn the things for a fee,
Take that Coursera, whoa!

Coursera,
(instrumental call-back)
Coursera,
(instrumental call-back)

One, two, three,
It’s a new sensation, (doo-doo-do-doo!)
You’ll agree,
It’s the step that’s putting the world on its feet,

Coursera,
(instrumental call-back)
Coursera,
(instrumental call-back)

If you’re not a dunce,
You’ll catch on at once,
Learn the things for a fee,
Take that Coursera, whoa!

Simple as the day is long!

Endlessly entertaining, like watching your hero die of a brain disorder and wondering how it could have possibly taken so long.

^^^^^GeorgeAndGermaineBriantFan: While you certainly don’t have the brains to be an archaeologist, you do seem to have an avid interest in digging up old stuff from the past. What’s it like to know you’re too stupid to write your own comments?

I keep calling the folks at the Guinness Book of World Records about the number of times I’ve used the same song and/or idea, but just like everyone on here, no one is interested. I don’t care. I like repetition because it means I don’t have to think, and it’s pretty obvious I’m fairly limited in that capacity.

^^^^^Wow, two for one! You just keep diggin’ and maybe one day all your septic tank experience will pay off.

We can do this all day, but nobody’s fooled. Your inability to comprehend the greatness of the OS will also give your stance away. Anyway, just needed to pound out this variation while I still can because this brain affliction will eventually make my efforts even more pathetic. Is there a more discreet version of the eggplant/volcano emojis? Perfect summary for your “comments”.

Clarify something for me. Exactly what “stance” is being given away because of my alleged inability to comprehend the greatness of your ‘tard anthem? I’m pretty sure you stand alone regarding that opinion. Did I hear an actual wolf in the distance or is that you trying to gin up the “brain issue” again. Seems like you’d actually have to have one to have an issue with it. From what I’ve seen on a cognitive level, you’re pretty much running on the same setup as a starfish.

Endlessly entertaining, just like the other 8,162,527,143 attack variants. Did I hear an actual wolf in the distance, or is that you trying to gin up your attack variants again? Seriously, if you even go ahead with another variation of your disdain for this song, we’re going to have to re-rate this parody. Speaking of the OS, I just sequenced a MIDI file that’s a complete recreation of the original Herbie Kay arrangement. I’ll post it online within the next couple of days. If that doesn’t convince you to listen to the OS, I don’t know what will. Simple as the day is long…

Finished my MIDI transcription of “Rhythm Steps” by Herbie Kay and his orchestra a couple of hours ago. It’s pretty close to the original arrangement and it only took four days to transcribe. I’ve been wanting to do this for who knows how long now. https://archive.org/details/herbie_kay_rhythm_steps_1935

And nobody cares about your crappy MIDI file.
